Core, or Casual-Core?

So someone from Nintendo is claiming that they are going to announce several titles for the "core gamer". Now, I must ask, is it in fact for the core gamer, or will be be casual-core?

Now, don't get me wrong, I will always be faithful to Nintendo, but being sarcastic is who I am, and no matter how much I like something, I still enjoy cracking jokes on it.

Nintendo and third party's always like to announce these "hardcore games", but these games always end up being something that is hardcore, but they still want to attract casual gamers. As happy as I was to here Nintendo is going to announce several hardcore games at E3, I know that this hardcore games will be casualized, somehow. Whether it's how the game looks, or a mini game mode, I know it's going to happen.

If Kid Icarus is announced, which I am sure it will be, I'm sure it's going to be a hardcore game, but Nintendo is still going to try and attract the casual audience.

If there is one thing I can't wait for, it's to see how good Kid Icarus looks. I'm pretty sure Factor 5 is developing it, and even if they somehow are not, Nintendo is going to make this one good looking game.

You seem to really care much about the graphics and looks of games. But moving on, I think many of Nintendo's past games could be considered for the core gamer, like Mario Kart, Brawl, Mario Sports titles, I am in fear that the announcement will mainly be about these Mario Sports titles, maybe an adventure title like Kid Icarus and then something else that would be expected, definitely nothing on the magnitude as a "Twilight Princess" type announcement.

I must admit, I am somewhat of a graphic whore. It's not that I want a game that looks as good as a 360 title, but just something that you know can't be done on PS2, GC or Xbox.
